Holistic Mental Health

An integrative approach to mental health that addresses mind, body, and spirit, combining traditional therapy with wellness practices for whole-person healing.

Understanding Holistic Mental Health

Holistic mental health recognizes that your emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being are deeply connected. At Restored Family Counseling, we combine evidence-based therapy with complementary wellness practices because true well-being can't be achieved by treating the mind in isolation. Many clients are looking for more than symptom management. They want to understand how stress affects their body, how lifestyle impacts their mood, and how purpose connects to mental health.

Our approach integrates therapeutic modalities like CBT, EMDR, and ACT with practices such as mindfulness and meditation, breathwork for nervous system regulation, somatic awareness to reconnect with your body, nutritional awareness to understand how diet affects mood, sleep hygiene to support this foundation of mental health, and movement guidance to harness one of the most powerful and underutilized interventions available.

Values-based living runs through all of our holistic work. When your daily life aligns with what truly matters to you, mental health improves naturally. When there's a disconnect, it shows up as dissatisfaction, anxiety, or emptiness. Your therapist helps you identify lifestyle factors contributing to your challenges and develop a personalized wellness plan that supports your therapeutic goals.

Our founder, Sarah Arnold, is a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider with specific training in integrative approaches. This isn't a therapist occasionally mentioning lifestyle factors, but a practice built around whole-person care. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, burnout, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, holistic mental health counseling helps you build a way of living that supports your well-being on every level.
