Depression Treatment

Compassionate, evidence-based depression treatment to help you move through the heaviness, reconnect with joy, and rebuild a meaningful life.

Understanding Depression Treatment

Depression can make everything feel heavier: getting out of bed, maintaining relationships, finding motivation, seeing a future worth looking forward to. It's more than sadness. It's a fog that dulls your emotions, drains your energy, and makes the simplest tasks feel monumental. Depression lies to you, telling you things will never get better, that you're a burden, that you're broken. These are symptoms of the illness, not truths about who you are.

Depression takes different forms: major depressive episodes with persistent low mood and loss of interest, persistent depressive disorder (dysthymia) that creates a constant low-grade heaviness you may not even recognize, seasonal affective disorder, postpartum depression, or situational depression following a major life event. Whatever form yours takes, it's valid and treatable. If you're experiencing thoughts of suicide, please reach out to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988 immediately.

Our therapists use evidence-based approaches tailored to your experience. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy identifies the negative thought patterns (all-or-nothing thinking, catastrophizing, self-blame) that feed depression and teaches more balanced perspectives. Behavioral activation breaks the vicious cycle of withdrawal and inactivity by helping you gradually reengage with meaningful activities, even when motivation is low. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy helps you develop a different relationship with painful thoughts rather than being controlled by them, moving toward values-aligned living even in the presence of difficulty. We also address the physical dimension of depression through somatic awareness and body-based practices.

When you begin treatment, your therapist gets to know you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. Together, you'll develop a personalized plan and build practical skills while creating space for honest exploration without judgment. Healing from depression is rarely a straight line, and your therapist will be with you through the setbacks as well as the breakthroughs.
